Intellisearch (FAQ Manager / Knowledgebase) Software

This combined a number of disparate databases into one common base of knowledge and a central depository for all frequently asked question from across the council.  From this new database, Motive Technology developed a unique data-mining tool whereby the knowledge can be interrogated on an FAQ (frequently asked questions) basis at a fraction of the cost of systems available for the local government sector.  This enables users to obtain rapid retrieval of information relating to the business of the authority.

The Councils’ call centre staff will use the Intellisearch system when dealing with customer enquires via the telephone and email.  It is also utilised via the Council web site enabling members of the public to directly access information on an FAQ basis.

Another output of the same data uses interactive kiosks in the public areas of the Council offices, which enables visitors to search for information using the data continually accumulated by the system.
