Questions On The Move (SMS) Software
QOTM is a software application accessible using mobile phones and two-way text. By way of an intelligent keyword data miner, the user sends a text message with their question and the text system finds the most appropriate text-friendly reply and sends it back.
There are many uses for this system including voting systems, registration for frequent information and text to email for people who wish to have more information than the 160 characters most mobile phones afford us.
The system was developed using money won through the ODPM’s (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) innovation fund, the main output to optimise human resources in dealing with enquiries from members of the public and make the information from the Council ultimately “mobile”.
